Considering a trip here next year and I have some questions. Is it like the BWCA with portages and established campsites? Is there a map of the place like the maps on this site that show portages and entry points?
One other difference is that there are fly in fishing camps in the park. As you paddle through, you may come across boats at the portables to be used by guests at the outposts. I went 4 days without seeing another person last year, combine that with less used campsites and portages, you have a real wilderness experience.
Just imagine being invited to a private canoe estate the size of BWCA along with only 500 other paddlers each year. Staff will have the portages and campsites ready for you. It is also OK to pay a premium and be delivered to solitude with a floatplane. Since the few people that came before you only ate the small tender fish and turned all the trophies loose you may have to put up with more unedible catches than usual. You will not have to fear bears in camp as the WCPP bears run from humans. A Caribou may visit camp but they don't care for smores.
