Scripture Reading: John 7:25-31

Devotion: Because Jesus does not fit their preconceived notions of the Messiah’s identity, residents of Jerusalem reject Him and join in the effort to kill Him for blasphemy. That Jesus is true God and true man still remains a stumbling block for those who judge Him by earthly standards. Yet, for our sake, Jesus was always conscious of the Father’s will and never allowed human opinions to sidetrack Him from His saving purpose.

Prayer: Beloved Lord, preserve my faith when enemies seek to undermine the Christian faith. Amen.”
