Are all park fees due at time of reservation for your entire group now, i haven't been to Q since 2019 and it was just a $100 up front. Also, if the group size may change in size is it best to just pay for the smaller size and then pay the additional at time of picking up the permit?

Northern entr question, i read on the parks website that one vehicle permit is included with the backcountry permit, however additional cost extra, any idea how that is purchased and cost?

Just looked up a few year's Quetico reservation confirmations--in 2019 we paid a $100 (US) deposit, and the rest was paid when we checked in at Prairie Portage.

In 2020 and 2021, we paid the full amount when we made reservations. Full amounts were refunded when the 2020 trip was cancelled due to COVID and the 2021 trip was cancelled due to wildfires in the Q.

I was told by the park superintendent that you can make a partial payment when you make your reservation, then pay the balance at the ranger station. I haven't made a Quetico reservation in a couple years so I don't have first hand experience with it. However, if you have a tentative group of six for your trip to Q, it's best to make the reservation for two, then pay the balance due for the other crew members at the ranger station.

As for having multiple vehicles, you can park multiple vehicles at Beaverhouse and Dawson Trail and there is no charge. Keep in mind that parking at Stanton Bay and Lerome (I'm not sure about Nym) requires the vehicle to be registered in Canada. If your car is registered in the US, you will be required to use an outfitter to drive you in.

I called the park office a few weeks back as I had some questions about the reservation process, not sure if things had changed since COVID. I learned that at this time they are not doing the $100 reservation fee. I haven't booked a reservation yet, but will soon.

Jackfish, did something change with the Lerome entry point? I believe previously only Stanton Bay required an outfitter for parking. I am considering a Lerome entry this year, so this might be a deal breaker.

I only see Stanton Bay mentioned under section 4 - Trip Planning.
