I just saw a commercial for this, and I immediately thought that it would make a quick and easy meal for the solo tripper.

Anyone going to be trying it? If so let me know how it is. I have not had Spam for many years. Wonder if my kids would eat it? Hmmmm

I have actually used Spam for backpacking since I was a young man. It is good fried for breakfast or even mixed in to rice dishes and the like for protein. I like it and it's easy.

I've been looking for it. So far I haven't found it locally. I'm anxious to give it a try.

I like spam, ditto on the cooking methods above. I bought a food vaccum system a couple of years ago. I pre-slice items like spam and individual steaks, etc... Vaccum pack each individual item and freeze them. In the cooler they last several days and the vaccum packing I feel really cuts down on spoilage.

I used the single serving Spam last summer on a couple of canoe trips. It the same as regular Spam only in a foil pouch. Taste great, is a quick lunch and is supper convenient. With the foil pouch they have long shelf life. I like it for breakfast spam and eggs or lunch fried spam and cheese sandwiches. I found them at one of the local grocery stores.

I've found that the local Rainbow by me carries the original and the turkey Spam.
