I just returned from a 6 night stay on Hudson and was worried about catching any fish as in previous years I had found that the lake dropped off quickly to 15 to 20 feet not far from shore and fish were hard to come by. However this trip I found some shallow areas in the main lake and caught quite a few walleyes.....in 5 to 7 feet. No idea why they were so shallow with the high water temps but that is where I (we, my wife was along) caught them. One morning it was nearly all northern pike but we averaged a fish every 3 minutes for over an hour. Another morning it was nearly all walleyes with one on the first paddle stroke after putting out my lure. All fish were caught on Shad Raps, orange or perch pattern. I never changed my lure for the entire trip. Best fish was caught by my wife, a Northern Pike over 15 pounds. My best was a 6 pound walleye.

Very impressive! Sounds like a lot of action and constant fun. Glad it went so well for you!
