Heading into Little Gabbro for Memorial Day with a bunch of novices. I am looking for easy cast and retrieve or troll lures.

I'm gonna set up three tackle boxes for walleye and smallies and another three for Northern.

Since the water clarity is two feet...I am thinking orange, firetiger, blue/silver, and gold.

Since it is spring, I think topwater down to maybe 12' is the column to target.

Cool lunch break topic!

Here's a few thoughts based on what you shared...

Casting: whopper ploppers, daredevil spoons (red/white, 5 diamonds, and nickel gold/orange), paddle tails swimbaits

Trolling: Rapala shad raps, floating minnows, or husky jerks

From camp: Slip bobber with leeches

Firetiger is my first choice of color in the bwca.

Hopefully everyone catches some fish and has a great time!

You can't get much easier than the Storm 360GT Searchbait® Shad.
Just cast and retrieve. Their colors are great for the Boundary Waters.
