Anyone have suggests on where to stay (hotel, cabin, etc) or what lakes to try an hit for best fishing in a Hobie kayak. Looking to try a different lake each day for 5-7 days but not camp on the lakes. Thanks for your suggestions.

If you want more of an “in town” experience I would recommend Ely. For a cabin/roughing it experience I would recommend mid gunflint trail.

Each area has dozens if not hundreds of lakes within a half hour drive for the day. Time of year and target species would determine which ones to hit.
