Wenonah Minn 3
front seat rear cross support broke
clean through 17 miles and 3 portages from the car.
It must have been slowly cracking around for years.
Where can I find a direct replacement or a simular material aluminum tube.
I located a 10 pound rock that braced the seat perfectly.

Wenonah Seneca...
Also I could use two gunnels for a Seneca.
I have herd about a different shaped gunnel that
Works better with rod holders and camera mounts.
Where can I find these ?

Thanks...

I would contact Wenonah directly. I dropped my new Prism and cracked it. I took it directly to the factory, dropped it at their shop and went to sit in the lobby. The owner came in, introduced himself to me then took me on his morning rounds through the factory. They charged me $30 to patch my canoe and you can hardly see the patch.

I have also stopped at Souris River and received similar treatment. Full tour, ...

If you call them, you will get a human who is polite and interested in helping you.

I bought a piece of aluminum tubing on Ebay, longer than needed but with a thicker wall on the tube. I don't expect it will break again.

Hi Tim,

The cross bar for the bow slider is made from two pieces of aluminum tubing, one sleeved inside the other. 1" and 7/8" anodized aluminum. If you call us we should be able to send out a couple sections that you can cut and fit to do a repair. We probably need to measure exactly what you have in your canoe so we can be sure of the length.

Gunwales may be a little trickier. We are short of many of them right now. And we can only ship them on our trailers so they'll need either to be picked up or shipped to a dealer with an upcoming canoe delivery. It might be until a little later in the spring before we have them available to sell.

At this time our Versigunwale is not available as an aftermarket part to retrofit older canoes. They have to be pre-bent with a special tool and they're more difficult to install than our conventional gunwales. We're offering them on new canoes only.

Give us a call at 507-454-5430. We'll do our best to help.

Brian from Wenonah
