I have been using a JetBoil Sol (older version) for about 10 years and have been very happy with it. I just boil water to add to meals and make coffee, and it works very well for that. I have no need of the accessories since I just boil water.

I'm really happy with my flash, I got it in 2004 and the only thing is the ignitor failed within a year otherwise it preforms like new. It is strictly a water boiler so if you are looking to simmer it is not the answer. I have used the flash extensively over the years, both for camp and while on fire details. Don't waste $ on the french coffee press attachment.

I forgot to add that fuel usage is minimal for me (solo) and averages around 3 +/- grams to boil water for a meal or coffee.

I like mine for coffee/tea and dehydrated meals. I have the flash java which comes with the french press. For boiling water efficiently its about as good as you can get.

I have a jet boil Sumo and for my group of 8 I use it in conjunction with a 6qt pot and a pocket rocket burner if I have to simmer something - Jet boil gets the water hot to dump in the pot with the meal and the pocket rocket is able to keep it hot enough to simmer. I cycle the pocket rocket on and off to conserve fuel.

Jet boil flash used by all of our group. Boiling water for coffee/cooking in about 2 mins. Compact, doesn't use much fuel, can't beat it IMO.

Love our Jet Boil! We stash it in our packs for western bowhunts and heat up quick meals out in the field. It is great. Other than fish fries in the BWCA, it is the only cooker we use now.
