Looking at paddling south of Pickerel, through the B Chain to Olifaunt, and then up to Dore via Deux Rivieres in a few weeks. Anyone been this way this year, and if so what were the water levels like. Any info is much appreciated.

I’ve been told water levels are high normal. My son will be paddling through the B Chain late next week Wednesday or Thursday. He
S on trip right now in the falls chain on Kenny Lake. Not sure he’d have anything to rate it against though. Park office in Atikokan could tell you though and they would be happy to do so if you gave them a call.

Pickerel and the B chain are about normal. Maybe a little low but nothing remarkable. Easy traveling. I went from Fern to Pickerel yesterday and didn’t see anyone. Super dry ground though

Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. I kind of figured levels would be good there but somewhat worried about heading up to Dore from Olifaunt. Also wondering about the stretch of river going up to Sturgeon from Olifaunt. Is it better to go directly into Sturgeon from the west side of Olifaunt?

It is certainly a lot easier but the river albeit harder is very picturesque.
