We were just in the Pickerel, Rawn and Rawn Narrows area and couldn't help but hear the water going through the Pickerel Dam as it flowed into Bisk. We could even hear it from our campsite on Pickerel when it was calm. Makes me wish we had paddled over there to see it.

We were surprised to see a man-made dam in the park. Does anyone have any photos of the dam and the outflow?

This is the outflow. Where did you stay in Rawn. I spent about 5 days on the first island some years ago.

Makes you wonder what the natural shoreline looks like.

From what I have seen up there they had dams on some other lakes like Quetico and Oriana. They took those out but for what ever reason they left the Pickeral dam. On Quetico and Oriana you can see the leftover bathtub ring which is 3 or 4 feet. I assume they put them in to move logs around but I don’t know.

If anyone has info on this I would like to know more.
