Hey, just another option to consider; Western Mountaineering makes a couple of "Bag Extenders" for their sleeping bags. One is summer weight ($81) the other is three season weight ($98). This is a 3 inch wide down piece with zipper on both sides. This accessory zips between the zipper on your bag to add a bit of extra space.

If you only need a little relief, this accessory would allow you to keep a really great bag.
