Didn't make it back there this summer so this was a nice watch, thanks.

If you're into hiking, Killarney has great trails as well. But it is not a fishing destination. Nearby Sudbury's enormous nickel mines spewed toxic clouds of smoke over the area decades ago. You'd never know it today but for the acidification of the lakes that yield few-to-no angling opportunities. If you're into exploring canoe parks and are not an angler, this should be on your bucket list.

From Killarney you can also paddle the north shore of Georgian Bay (Phillip Edward Island) which is also stunning. Probably more popular for kayakers as there's a lot of open water and no portaging required.

Thanks for the info, Argo. I'm not a fisherman and it looks very scenic. The video showed a hike to Silver Peak and seemed like there were more opportunities too.

I will second Argo’s recommendations. I have taken a number of trips in Killarney with Canadian friends, some of whom have paddled there for many years. We have always gone there in August and after seeing this video, I would really like to go in Autumn.

A trip circling Prince Phillip Edward Island offered the very unique rock northern shoreline of Georgian Bay - unlike anything I have ever seen on the Great Lakes.
