Those of us who were former members of the CanoeCountry.com bulletinboard (CCBB) will remember the adventurous Hoz. I learned today that he passed away in November. I never got the chance to meet him personally, but he was a great member of our padding community.

I remember him (what was his screenname - Hoz?), he was great member. I wish I could have met him personally.

I remember the name from the old CCBB and I seem to recall some trip reports of his to the far north with another CCBB member, Worth Donaldson? Though I never met him personally, he was truly inspiring. RIP Hoz.

Hoz was a great guy, I am truly bummed that I won’t ever see him - and his big personality - at Canoecopia again.

Wishing Hoz eternal sunny days and paddling with the wind.

Thanks for the update, Pete.
