I thought similar, but I don't think it works with a SW view.

Looks a lot like to Shell side of the portage from Little Shell. Which would mean the first view is probably an overlook somewhere on the Sioux-Hustler.

I agree. It was fun. I haven't been to Range but close (Sandpit), but I used the clues to figure it out by using the maps on bwca.com and because the photos and clues matched the shape of Range I figured it out. Egnuti has posted some amazing photos in the Mudro area.
