Here are some clues for you: It is a larger lake, at least 3/4 of a mile across. The water appears to be deep and clear. The shoreline is rocky with plenty of erratics and it is not swampy. The northern shore is not an east-west running rocky ridge (eliminates most of the Vento unit). The trees are mixed, not dominated by pines (not far western BWCA). The trees on the horizon are very uniform in size and color, indicating a burn in the last 10-30 years.
