Will be taking my first trip to Wabakimi this summer and wondering what mapping app people recommend for the iphone. I'll have paper maps but like to supplement that with map/gps on my iphone.

The GaiaGPS map ap covers Wabakimi. Has different map options depending on you preference. Have a great trip.

I use GAIA for my Quetico Trips. Highly recommend. You can set up your IPhone with GAIA and enter areas you will be in when you are ONLINE. Then when you are up in Wabakimi without cell service you can see where you are OFFLINE.

You can add waypoints too.

I use Garmin. I Have it so I can use on my phone with the app. I also have a Garmin Inreach device which I use but it’s also in case of emergency. The canoe route planning website has some gpx files. You can download the portage locations and campsite locations for the Wabakimi area. Those came from Friends of Wabakimi.
