This is my first time posting and I was wondering if anybody out there could help me with some fishing information. My Fiance and I are taking our first trip to the area and were wondering if we can catch some fish in Gull or Bald Eagle lake. We are going on the 15th of May and don't know what to use or where to fish. Any information would be very much appreciated.

I would bring some lead head jigs and plastic, plus some crawdad colored shad raps. Fish shallow in the warmer water and troll along the shore 25 feet out. When you find the hoit spot stay and have fun. I have not fished these particular lakes but have fished in this vicinity (Gabbro, Clearwater, numbered lakes) These tips work for me and it is not alot of stuff to bring. Bring bright and not so bright jigs. Have fun.

I have been to both those lakes. I marked on the maps some productive areas for you. The yellow areas are for northerns, and the purple areas are for smallmouth. The campsites on Bald Eagle that are circled in blue, are both pretty good. The Northern of the two is not shown on my most recent map, so it may be closed. The southern of the two is close to a boggy area, so insects could be an issue. the campsite on gull thats circled is nice but kind of open if its windy. i haven't camped on the pietro lake campsite thats circled, but my dad has it circled on his map. watch out for the portage between bald eagle and gull, it's a MF. you can skip the small portage by lifting your canoe over some sharp rocks. anyway, this a nice area. have a great time

Thank you both very much for the information. I will definitely try those spots and reply back with hopefully some good results. Thank you again.
