I'm curious about the water levels or current on the Kiwishiwi River. I have a trip planned for the second week in June and am curious about paddling upstream. If I start the trip paddling downstream from Lake One, how much time should be added for the return trip to Lake One per mile?

I am currently preparing for a very similar route at the end of may. We plan to spend our last day paddling all the way up the Kiwishiwi River, from Bald Eagle, to our car at Lake One. I am a 15 year vet to the BWCA, and will be traveling in a group of 7 guys. The Kiwishiwi never has a strong current. It picks up at rapids areas, but travel upstream usually is easy. I will update you on May 29th, when we return home, with the current conditions.
