I have a tripped plan to run through birch into carp then through knife river than into knife lake. just wondering about the fishing and the scenery. please shoot me some comments on both. ive never been through this area thank you.

knife is a beautiful lake and full of fish. my party will be there in the first part of june as well and look forward to some great fishing. we will be staying on sawbill and have caught many a beautiful smallies on knife. floating rapalas to get the spawning bronzebacks. every other cast if you catch em at the right time. good luck and maybe we'll see each other in passing. keep fishing. peace.

Knife lake is great! my group goes every year. I recommend for smallies: zara spook jr's, chug bugs, or pop r's. the spook jr's are my groups favorite,last july 4th week we caught easily 75 each on this lure.colors=white, silver, clear
walleyes we have caught mainly trolling deep diving,long bodied lures like storm thundersticks, colors=silver with blue or black backs and white lures.and cast beetle spins with plastic worm!!!!
lakers we have always caught trolling the sunken islands ALL OVER the lake. get a good depth map to help find these spots! lures= usually deep diving rapalas or white body red eyed bandit lures.
there are many shallow rocky flats that hold huge smallies and pike, stay back and make long casts,at night these areas are great to troll for walleyes with shallow running jerk baits. Have fun on this beautiful lake!
