I went into the Insula area two years ago, and caught many walleye, northern, and a few smallmouth. I am going back into that area in late June this year, (21st) Does anyone know of a lake in that area that has a good population of smallmouth or any recomendations... Catch a lot here in Arkansas, on Gitzits, and caught several on those two years ago... but would really like to get onto some good bronzebacks... thanks..

Snowbank, and Lake one is the best I've been on for smallies...almost every fish caught is a smally!

Try Jordan and Disappointment for smallies.

The Lake One to Lake Four lakes are not known for smallies, but have some nice northern pike and walleye.

How many days do you have? Do you have enough time to make the loop to exit at Snowbank?
