I love my Dutch Oven cooking, but hate the thought of transporting a cast iron one. I received a little money last Christmas so I decided to purchase the 10” hard anodized model. It worked great.

It fit at the top of my five gallon bucket with the gamma seal lid. I placed it in a cheap nylon stuff bag so I did not have to worry about scrubbing the outside of the pot. The hard anodizing made cleanup a breeze.

After cooking I would add a little water and heat it up, and give it a little scrub with a small brush that I use to clean the dishes. It also worked great for heating up water to clean the other dishes.

Worked great for making pizza, brownies, popcorn, and hamburger helper.

The lid turned over on the fire grate made an excellent frying pan on which I cooked scrambled eggs, spam, bannock, and Cache Lake Fryin' Pan Bread, Biscuits 'n Gravy, and Blueberry Scones.

It maybe a little heavy at 3.10 pounds, but I sure enjoyed the food from it. KL

Looks like a winner of an item. Thanks for the input. Pics looked yummy. I think I can handle a little over 3 pounds compared to weight of cast iron.

Hey Kevin,

Awesome shots!

If you don't have the GSI cover bag. I have a new with tags GSI 10" cover that I got in a large eBay camping lot that I would sell it to you for $10.00 plus shipping. If you are interested let me know and we can work out the details. (Note: I'm heading to the Q until SEP 1)

you've inspired me kevin. after seeing this post earlier today i made apple crisp in an old cast iron dutch oven that was collecting dust in the garage.

this runs counter to my less, lighter, faster ethic but i am going to pick up one of these hard ano 10" ovens for car camping, backyard dutch cooking and certain bwca group trips.

thanks!
