My mind. No that's not right - I lost that a long time ago. But I think I left behind my big yellow and white mug. It has no value. But it went with me on 20+ BW trips. And held some NASTY drinks. So... if anyone found it please let me know. I would like to take it along again. Thanks

Apparently a lot of you weren't paying attention to the "leave no trace" videos. Or doesn't that apply in Wisconsin?

It doesn't apply out of the BW.

But most of us aren't slobs :P

We left the place as clean or cleaner than we found it. I think Butthead even made out with a 'cache' of extra food/liquor since he was the last one there. Because ... we weren't leaving a trace :)

Oh, and we also left a nice stack of firewood for the next people to use.

09/12/2010 09:08PM
And a wine glass, a leather snap bracelet, and a dust pan and broom.

09/12/2010 09:09PM
There was stuff left, but I was impressed at how much trash there wasn't on the ground.

I'm not sure where you left off, but here's the end of it:

"So then and there with plea and prayer he wrestled for my soul,
And I was racked and ravaged by regrets.
But God was good, for lo! next day there came the police patrol,
With paper for a thousand cigarettes. . .
So now I'm called Salvation Bill; I teach the Living Law,
And Bally-hoo the Bible with the best;
And if a guy won't listen - why, I sock him on the jaw,
And preach the Gospel sitting on his chest."

And for those poor benighted souls
Who Wing-Night sadly missed,
I share a link, high-lit below
With all the words Paul lisped.

The Ballad Of Salvation Bill

Here's the loot that I collected on my way out. There is also an LLBean fleece jacket, not sure what size but it's too big for me. It's maroon. I tossed it in with my laundry, so it was not available for the photo op. Izzy, I know the yellow cup is yours...

Guess I'm the official "leaver behinder", The mug, wine cup and broom/ dustpan are all mine.

From the desk of leave and take, the bride spent a half hour or so cleaning up around the fire pit Sunday morning and collected a good gallon of spent brain cells... let us know if you cant remember your name.

Thanks for grabbing those Nola; I'm in no hurry to get them back.

Which mug? The stainless or the dark blue tall one?

09/13/2010 02:43PM
The leather bracelet is one of my son's. Bring it to the next Wing Nite, or give it to your daughter. :)

The dark blue mug is yours Nola! I heard it has much history as a guest mug for the BWCA. She is a mighty fine mug.

I'm sorry for not looking around better.

:::raises right hand::: I promise to join the clean up committee for next years gather.

I was impressed with the FREE garbage pick up service Trix and tg provided while most of us (my self included) sat around the fire Saturday night. Five garbage bags filled and hauled to the dumpster.

I'll speak for all of us, THANK YOU TRIX AND TG! Your service was greatly appreciated.

Yes it was nicely done ! Thanks .

I wondered who did that. I was lying in my tent trying to get L to sleep while the cleaning fairies worked their magic....

Is no one missing a maroon LL Bean fleece jacket? Looks like a man's. Had some white dog hair on it. I think. I washed it.

It looks like someone on the lower far right of the Saturday Group photo is wearing a maroon fleece.
