Hello. Does anybody have any suggestions for fishing in the BWCA during july? I will be in the Isabella River area, Bald Eagle Lake, Gull Lake, Pietro Lake, Clearwater Lake, the Numbered Lakes (1 and 2), and finally the Kawishiwi River. THanks.

at the end of june and beginning of july small mouths are crazy on snowbank and also lake one...use leeches and the classic banjo minnows.

Try a smaller Mepps spinner in the western half of the Isabella River, should be good for finding some walleyes.

Pietro has some good walleye action and in July some great smallies. Find the reef and fish there. Take plenty of leeches, in July smallies hit hot & heavy on those! :)

Troll the "Lakes chain" with a red & white spoon or a Fire Tiger Rapala, size 13 or so.
