Does anyone have any tips for fishing on either of these lakes in August?

In case you get the chance to go that way, below the rapids where Insula runs into Hudson, there is a deep pocket, just to the left side of the portage coming down,you can see where the drift wood has piled against the boulders on the far side, In June of 01' there were plenty of hungry Walleyes there just looking for a leech. Lindy rigged it, with the float about 6 - 8 inches up a 30 inch leader. Caught several in 4 to 5 pound range. Beautiful spot... It was fun for person from Arkansas not used to fishing that way...

Where haven't you been? What about the rivers in this area. Thanks for the tip. I will definatley hit that spot.
