Here a great Power Bar receipe I found years ago.
Toast on a cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 8 min: 5 1/4 cups of Oatmeal (not the quick kind)
Place in mixing bowl & add: Melted the following over low heat, then add to oats and peanut butter. 1 cup margarine, 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup light corn surap, Cool mixture, then add: 1 1/2 cup raisins & 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips.( I use chocolate chips, nestle crunch bits instead of raisins.)
Press mixture firmly into a 9"x13" pan. Cover with wax paper and roll with a glass, pressing hard. Bake 20 min at 350 degrees. Cool 15 min, cut into bars (a1"x2" bar has 240 calories & 15 gram of fat) Wrap individually and stack in Zip bag Freeze until needed
I got this out of the 1993 winter issue of Boundary Waters Journal There are also 3 more but I think this one is the best.
