Set up my hammock for the first time this year today to check it for any tears or rips and stuff. Decided to lay in it a read for a while and ended up falling asleep. No underquilt or pad. Wind gets really cold when it is already only 40ish degrees.
It's cold on my back even in the 60's with a little breeze. Now if you cover it with a superfly those winds don't touch you... I spent two nights in the low 20's last weekend in my hammock. Superfly, hammock gear burrow and hammock gear incubator and I was toasty warm!
