Thanks for the report! Great pictures of some awesome looking country! It sounds like you had a really great trip. A friend of mine told me about a 23-day trip she and a friend took in the Winds one time.

You're welcome. I'd love to see more pictures if you have any available. The ones in your report are really nice. I've never really been out west yet other than flying out to visit my daughter in OR for a few days. You get some really big vistas, which is different.

My friend I told you about doing the long Wind Rivers trip also did a long hike all around Isle Royale ;).

BTW, the add a link is really easy once you get the hang of it. It's basically just a "copy and paste", which is probably what you did anyway. Just copy the link, then whenever you want to add it to your message, click the "Add a link to this message". When that box pops up, just paste the link where it says, type in the name you want in the next line, and "add link". It will look "funny", but don't worry about that, just submit and it will look different when it posts.

One of these days, I'm going to have to get farther west.

Wow, loved those pictures! The Wind Rivers were the last wilderness backpacking trip we went on before coming back to canoeing in Quetico and falling in love with canoe country again. Your pics make me want to go back to Wyoming!

Great report and very nice pictures. That is great country. Did you go over Beartooth summit? I really like that drive. Sounds like you had a good trip!! Maybe the Sierras someday?

Thanks so much for the kind comments.
We also hiked and canoed Isle Royale NP for years.
Then we hiked Glacier NP for 3 years prior to this.
This was our biggest adventure yet.

And we did drive the Beartooth Hwy. On our way back to MN.
What a white knuckle ride that was.
But beautiful too.

Wyoming is a beautiful state.

Wow 23 days in the Winds. ..that's epic!

Also considering the JMT trail someday.

So many mountains, so little time.
