Okay, just sitting here with the Mid-Winter BWCA fever and wondering... this next year I am looking at going in on June 20th, if I get the permit I applied for. Going in at SnowBank and just going to Dissappointment basecamp and then daytrip to nearby lakes. My Question... Ahsub has Brook Trout, and Ima has some nice Lake Trout in it... Any suggestions on catching either? Here in Arkansas, we catch rainbows, browns, and some cutthroat on a variety of artifical baits, I don't use a flyrod that often. Only time here when I catch Lakers is in the early spring when smallmouth fishing when they are still shallow. So any help you can give is appreciated... Thanks in Advance...

I used dry flies on Ashub and small spinner (Panther Martin) and did fairly well with brookies albeit smaller ones. There are a few smallies in that lake as well.

Ima, cruise around the lake dragging a rig with bottom bouncer (snaggles weight) about 4 feet of line and a floating rapala. We also did just find with floating lindy rigs out in front of camp with leeches.
