Here's a link to an article from Backpacker Magazine titled The 15 Best Hangs of 2015 . It reviews only 5 hammocks, basically paid advertisements from the large manufacturers ... no mention of Warbonnet, Clark, Sheltowee and many other cottage manufacturers.

It's long been known that Backpacker Magazine is little more than a cover for big advertisers. In my opinion, the mag has broken it's own record for poor reporting. What do you think?

Exactly the reason I stopped renewing my subscription. The magazine, and especially the website, is a joke.

I stopped my subscription probably about eight years ago because of that crap. I think the one poster got it right when she said that the good gear companies don't want to be seen in Backpacker.

Eno, Clark and Hennessy sell far more hammocks then any mentioned in that article. The ones in the article were only "sleeve" hammocks. They are not what I would consider 3 season hammocks with mosquito netting, rain flys and underquilts. As others have said, I would class Henessy, Clark and War Bonnet as the top three hammocks available.

Yea, Backpacker Magazine is glorified advertisement. Some of the stuff they promote....ahhh it's worth a good laugh!
