Went back to ingredients instead of sealed single meals, more versatility less packaging. 16 full meals, servings of starch, meat, vegetables. Leaving Biquick for pancakes/biscuits/dumplings, bacon/sausage, mac&cheese, potato pancakes. Coffee, 6 PBCB brewmixes, Mio/KoolAid, fruit/nut/chocolate snacks. Salt, pepper, green onions, oregano, chives, dill, butter, oil. MSR frypan, SnowPeak Ti pot, al hotplate, GSI solo coffee press. Dragonfly and 30 oz of fuel.

Trips to Sylvania and Trails End, Gunflint EP before the end of June.

Very nice. I wish I could pack food as light as that.

In sylvania I bring four days of fresh (frozen) meat contained in an igloo cooler.

It looks like you've got your system honed down pretty well, butthead, and all in one Ursack.

curious about the missing knob on the coffee press....where is it?....whats your trick? I assume you pulled it and use the press for storage

It comes apart to fit in brew cup. 20oz pot 16oz cup.

The pot with the cup inside make a super insulated container to rehydrate food or freeze dried meals (boil, let sit style).

So how much food weight and how many days are you staying out?

10 pounds 9 ounces, all up in the Ursack. Should do for 12 days. No time frame for trip, just need to be back for a wedding July 4th.

I admire you and your food. I am just figuring out my week solo, leaving in a about two weeks to the Q. In the past, only on solos, I just buy some freeze dried meals and toss them in the pack. It has worked well for me. However, since I just retired a couple of months ago I expect to have more time to plan and execute my meals better. You seem to have it down and them some.
I guess I have something to aspire to.

Looks good Ken. I was doing a lot of thinking last week on what I'm going to do on my next solo and decided that I'm going to do the bulk thing as well. That being said as my Sherpa was lugging the 60L barrel around as Ethan likes to gain weight on his trips....the boy sure can eat. I keep telling him that we could single if we didn't have all that grub along.

Ken was my inspiration for this past trip. I had my food down to 12 pounds(including bearvault) for 5 days. Then it turns out plumbob brought plenty of food for me. I barely-bearly :)..ate any of my own. Probably packed out 8 pounds of it. Thanks bob.
