Yes. You must enter at designated entry points, Fill out a day permit or an overnight permit if you intend to camp. Make sure you have the appropriate Minnesota Fishing license and follow the Minnesota fishing regs for open seasons and limits and have fun.

Remember No motors of any kind. That means no ATV's or snowmobiles except in specific areas where allowed (check with the forest service)and no motorized augers for drilling holes. You will have to use a pulk or sled to get your gear in and hike, snowshoe or ski in.
