I know this is a long shot, but... Does anyone live in the DC area? Know of any good areas to canoe/ kayak? How about places to store a canoe? Or maybe kayak groups to join.

Our daughter recently moved there, and we need to haul some of her stuff out there. Trying to decide if we should take the kayak or leave it here for the time being. She really wants it, but she hasn't found an affordable place to store it, preferably on some water as she won't have a car for now.
