What is the hottest color for pike in the BWCA? I would assume that a bronze (perch) would be a good pattern. I know that there are some other bait in the lakes, I am just curious what everyone's favorite color is?

Chartuse and white shad killed them when the water was cold in mid-may a few years ago.

Bring a variety. I know they aren't cheap but sometimes they just want a particular pattern and plus shad raps also seem to produce. I stock up on a couple of four main patterns for each trip: crawdad, shad, pearch, and the silver gold. If I don't have two of each then I'll find the hot pattern and use it all day just to loose it on a snag and be sol. I pasted a lind below, not sure if it will work, but you can check it it to look at the patterns.
