A handful of people are pushing this Rock fiasco.
They should just leave it where at the present location, clean the area up with several loads of gravel to make it more prominent, and use the $40,000 for some worthy project.

The Rock is becoming famous because of the attention it's getting in the papers. I need to get a selfie with it before it moves to The Isle of Pines, Plymouth MA, or wherever important rocks move to.
I hope The Dolemen near Zenith Lake keeps it's low profile before a proposal to move it gains traction.

I hope someone did the engineering on this? $40,000 to destroy a
hidden treasure? I think someone forgot an extra 0 on the end.
Maybe the Lilypad ladies and Lynn at the Bear Center ought to check
their math and get a Go-Fund me page.

Did you read the article? The Bear Center was approached to house the thing.

I remember it from this old thread

I read about this in Micheal Furtman's book "A Season For Wilderness". He cited as his source long-time area guide Bill Magie.

I doubt that this was a well thought out plan, possibly suggested after several hours of cocktails at one of the resorts on Crooked Lake, back in the day! :)
