Years of canoeing, camping ,outdoors activities and a lot of hard work on my daughter's behalf finally paid off. After several interviews, my daughter("Paddlegal" here), found out yesterday she got her dream job. She will be the "State Coordinator of Conservation Education" for the Wyoming Fish & Game Department. Looks like she won't be coming back to live in the mid-west anytime soon.

What a great opportunity for her! I can see why you are proud. It is always a source of pride when our children realize their dreams by hard work and perseverance. Congratulations to her!

Very nice. Sounds like a great job in which she can make a real difference in the world.

Conservation begins with education.
You both should be proud.
Congratulations from a current employee of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.

Wyoming is a neat place. Now you will have a reason to go out there hunting every fall.

That's wonderful for her, except she'll be a long way from home.

Congrats to her on the "Dream job!" When I was younger, it would have been the kind of job I too "Dreamed" about. Love Wyoming, especially the Tetons

Aw, thank you all! Just read through this thread, and although I haven't frequented bwca.com in quite a while, these kind words of congratulations brightened my day! I really do owe it all to both of my parents. They introduced me to the outdoors and the BWCA/Quetico at a young age and taught me the importance of conserving these magical places throughout my life. I'm looking forward to at least helping the people of Wyoming appreciate and manage their wildlife and public land for future generations to come.

I hope she can stomach the politics of Wyoming. I've worked with several of their agencies over the years, and it can be a challenge. I hope she does well. Wyoming is a beautiful place, a bit windy and cold, but still a great place.
