Hello all,
Enlightened Equipment is having our annual Black Friday sale!
Use code BLACKFRIDAY10 to get 10% off all orders starting Friday 11/18 at 12:01 AM CT and ending Monday 11/28 at 11:59 PM CT.
Thanks for all your support, this is the only sale we run each year and it can get pretty crazy as far as how many orders and how long the lead times will get. We are expecting some orders will take over 10 weeks to ship but we will be updating our lead times after the sale to give the best idea of where everything ends up.

I have one of their 20 degree quilts in a long and wide and am very happy with it. It has kept me warm and comfortable.
I supplemented it with a synthetic hood from them as well for late Fall and Winter trips.
Great stuff.

Thanks all for the support. What a privilege it is to make great canoe country gear just hours away from the place we all love. Even if Winona is about as far as you can get from the BWCA and still be in MN

so...... it appears the Revelation is a little more versatile with the zippered footbox and just a few ounces heavier. Anything else I may be missing in the differences between the 2?

In the past it has taken that long. Once the sale ends we will update the lead times. I don't think it will be that long this year but we need to count up all the orders and see how things shake out. Check our product availability (top of every product page) Wednesday for updated lead times.

I bought a 20 degree Revelation last spring. It is awesome. I have it draped over my legs right now while on the computer. It is so versatile. They're are so many benefits with a quilt over a sleeping bag for me. If you're thinking of going to a quilt, I highly recommend it. Best sleep I've had in the bw. Thank you EE!

Care to share what dimensions you ordered and how tall/wide you are? Would you go wider now that you've used it?

I ordered the tall/x wide. I'm 6' 230 lbs. It is plenty wide (I sometimes wonder if I could of ordered the wide instead, but in the end thought I would rather have it a little too wide than not wide enough) and with the pad straps attachments I have no drafts around me. But on my last trip, lows were in the mid 40's and I had the footbox zipped, but not cinched to allow some extra air in and had the pad attachments spread all the way out. This past spring I slept out under the stars, slept great and woke up covered in dew. Hung it up in the sun and it dried very quickly. I ordered the tall version so if I wanted to pull up over my head I can do that. There are many different ways to configure depending on the temps, which is what I was looking for. Make sure you have a good insulated pad. The pad attachment straps are great and very easy to use. I also like that the straps keep me on the pad at night. I toss and turn quite a bit in my sleep. With my old sleeping bag I almost always was off the pad the morning. The quilt is very light, warm and packs down small. My tent mate has a 20 degree mummy bag and will be switching to a quilt soon. We could also compare the 20 degree quilt and 20 degree sleeping bag side by side for loft. We were both amazed at how much more the EE quilt lofted up than the sleeping bag, even though quilt is only one layer and sleeping bag two layers. The wait time from EE was long, but I did a lot of research and they were the best bang for my buck. You can get other quilts quicker, but they cost almost twice as much. Quality wise it is top notch. Ultimately I picked EE because of the quality, custom options (length, width, color, fabric, fill choices), pad attachment system and price.
