About 2-3 weeks ago I asked for suggestions for a new solo tent here on the board, got a lot of suggestions. I ended up buying a MSR Hubba NX solo tent off E-Bay for over $100 less than anywhere I could find from any dealers. It's a little lighter than what I wanted [which is good] , same width at the head and foot,[which is good] about 3 foot tall inside. It does have that bar across the top, which I think could be a weak point, but see why it's there and according to the reviews I read it isn't a problem. MSR is a good company which as I understand it stands behind their products. I did look up every tent you all suggested before making my final decision, Thanks for helping me spend my money. FRED
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fourtune to remember the ones do, and the eyesight to tell the differance.

Did you get the old version with 2 vestibules?
The spreader pole should not be a problem. They are used in a lot of tents now (I believe the fly is reinforced at the end location or even have a pocket).
I'm sure you will like it.
