I just registered my canoe in Wisconsin so that I can take it to BWCA.
Wisconsin doesn't require canoe registration, but so that I wouldn't need MN registration, I registered it. All boats that are registered in WI need to have the 3 inch high numbers on the bow, forward of the registration sticker like this: WS 1234 NK.
But my little boat doesn't HAVE to be registered in Wisconsin at all. So my question is:
Do I have to put the 3 inch numbers on my canoe or not???

quote DrBobDerrig: "you only have to put numbers on it if you are going to use a motor on it. So far wisconsin is voluntary as someone said. So far the 3 year voluntary sticker to go to Mn and Iowa is a bargain.
dr bob"
Good to know, I'll hold off putting the 150 HP Johnson on my Vagabond until I get those numbers.
