I bought a YTV a few years ago, very pleased with it. Astral
V Eight, NRS Ninja, Kokatat Aries, Stohlquist Edge, and similar, were the styles I tried out. It is very light in weight, comfortable, and maneuverable. I paddle solo mostly and wanted something I could twist/turn and move in without interference.
They offer some good gear.

I'm neither svelte or slim but it is easy to put on. The 2 torso straps are 1 1/2 inches wide, with lots of adjustment, shoulder straps are padded 1 inch, adjust a bunch also. 2 zip pockets not big but I can get my whole hand in them. I find it simpler than messing with zipper opening front or side, and it makes me check the straps and torso fit every time I put it on.

I think their point with that is that they use kapok instead of PVC. I'm sure if you found a way to make an effective, reliable, durable, affordable PFD using ALL natural materials, you could make a lot of money.

Not to worry. It came through loud and clear. Jim, I have the Green Jacket and it's the best PFD I've ever owned. I don't know any boaters who aren't a fan of Astral products. That said, Rasslers are made for WW boaters who often find themselves walking around on steep slippery terrain to scout or portage a rapid. That doesn't mean they're not great shoes for other kinds of boaters too, but you may find you and/or your wife would be just as happy with sneakers with the laces tucked in for considerably less money.

BTW the shoes are great! No slipping and very quick drying. Been using them for years in the summer months. They are good for wet landings and for keeping feet protected when swimming! The backs also fold down for a slipper Like wear in camp. Hands down great purchase!
