Day 2 of 10
Saturday, June 01, 2013 We got up around six and were delayed by a dead battery in Sam’s suburban (we traveled in luxury). We had kept our first two days of food frozen with one of those coolers that plug into the cigarette lighter thingy in the back of the car and we all forgot about it. Our destination was Camp Quetico, where we had reserved a cabin for the overnight and A shuttle the next morning. In spite of our morning delay we arrived early enough to go into Atikoken for lunch. We all shared an outstanding pizza in town and putzed around before we headed back to Camp Q. The cabin and all the facilities were nice and so was the evening meal. The weather was wretched with gale force winds out of the north, cool temps and rain. We were glad to be in that cabin on the lake rather than on it or any other lake.
