Looking for suggestions. Interested in a week long trip later this summer that includes waterfalls. Permit availability will obviously play a role, but wondering if you seasoned travelers might offer up an idea or two.
Thanks.
Thanks.

We paddled a three night loop from Mudro EP that took us by Upper Basswood Falls, Lower Basswood Falls and Curtain Falls.
Another time we paddled a three night route entering Angleworm EP and exiting Mudro EP that took us by Upper and Lower Basswood falls.

Yes, a few times. Last entry was #37, Kawishiwi Lake. Loved the trip to Malberg and down the river over to Alice.

You should have availability via Fall Lake EP24 ... paddle up to the Basswood Falls region. Push hard on Day 1 and you can get past the Horse Portage...or lay up just beyond the No Motor Zone and do daytrips, etc. Can also make a loop exiting via Horse/Mudro, or loop East and exit Moose.

In addition to this I think you can use a canoe caddy for the first couple of portages. If you wanted to speed things up.

Not sure on what permits would be available but, perhaps a variation of this trip. The fall falls and overlooks tour
