Thank You for sharing the report with nice pictures, Muddyfeet.

Cool report. I'm wondering if just going downstream is an option? Somehow shuttle your vehicle to have it waiting for you. I hope to do the Fox River in the far West suburbs of Chicago sometime.

What a great way to work out the winter kinks. Even down here near Minneapolis I am always amazed how isolated those islands in the river feel. I hope to get out paddling soon too.

Muddyfeet,

LOL. I also have a Nuclear Power Plant about 18 miles up river that concerns me in the water I play in.

Explore local waters!

careful, Wally- I *may* have peed in the river- it'll be down by you any day now. ;)

Thanks for the report Muddyfeet. Nice pics too. You got me fired up to get out and do some local paddling. I live a few miles from the Mississippi River down south near Davenport, IA. Your report has inspired me to do some more paddling on the Mississippi that involves overnight camping.

Ever read Mark Twain's soliloquy on the sunrise over the Mississippi? Worth a read. Thanks for your trip report!
