Oh wow, that's a bad place to find out. It's bad enough on the right side, I surely wouldn't want to do the side you did with packs and a canoe.

It was raining for us in both directions. Had to carry with 2 people going up. On the way down I planted the bow into dirt spots and pivoted down the rock faces.

It's definitely a tough one. Not for the faint of heart.

Its a short but mighty challenging portage. I've seen folks pulling canoes up with a rope. No low road on this one.

Did I miss a longer more gradual portage or am I just a wuss?
