03/29/2018 01:24PM I have also heard the lake holds Brookies, but I also can not confirm. I based out of Little trout for a 3 day trip with my son last year. To get there you have to start off on the Misquah portage and trust me you will earn every inch of your bushwhack to make it there. The portage is brutal enough. We went in mid June and caught a lot of nice lakers in Little Trout. Trolled 18-24' deep diving raps along the North Shore between the 2 campsites. Start at the point of the peninsula about 30-40' off shore. probably in 25-30' water. Had one snap the line near the deep hole on the west end of the lake. Good luck |

03/27/2018 05:20PM I'm going on a trip this summer out of EP #44 and I plan on base camping on Little Trout Lake. I did some research and found that Lantern Lake, about 3/4 mile NW of LTL, has (or has had) a brook trout population within it. Has anyone bushwhacked/fished this lake? I'm curious as I can find very little information about it. Thanks |
