If you haven't done so already??? Check out the cool spots in canoe country forum.

I'll add, the portage trail to Paulson Lake is well worth a hike.

If you go to google maps and pull up the satellite view, you'll get a very detailed view of what was in a burn area and what wasn't, even down to individual campsites. Burn areas appear as a much lighter green than the surrounding area.

Last couple years we've tripped in Seagull, Red Rock, Alpine, all of those are wholly or partially in a burn area, but we've never had much difficulty finding trees to hammock from.

Well, before or after the trip, just down the road is Chik Wauk museum. I can spend half a day there. Also some nice hiking trails around it. There's a small falls across from the lake from Trails End Campground. Also theres a fall between Jasper and Alpine Lakes out of Seagull.

Maybe you can find the remnants of the old resorts that were once on Seagull.

Paddlers,
I'm taking my scout troop to Seagull and I recall there are some waterfalls and points of interest close to that entry. Can you point me at some?

I recall there is a water falls off the kekabick trail close by.

Is there a map showing the burn area around there?

Some of my scouts want to bring hammocks and I hope they have trees to tie to.

Thanks in advance.
