Thanks. I have never done a later trip this way, I have quite a few August trips on this route.

I went in on 9/8/2018 and encountered weeds on the paddle but it was plenty deep.

Went in and then out on Kawishsiwi Lake EP last week of August. Burn zone. Water levels were good. As mentioned in another post about Beaver dams. Two we could paddle over. The big one portage around. The 2/3 mile portage later into Lake Polly was easy but long when had to go back again and over again. Saw two Rangers on Polly. Last time I saw Rangers about 10 years ago. They were very nice but of course checked permit.

We were through there the second week in Aug. Water levels to Square Lake were good. You may be able to paddle through (or pull over?) the first portage after Square Lake. After that the river almost all the way to Kawashachong is good due to a large beaver dam just before you get to the lake. There are short portages on either side of the beaver dam. The south side is muddy. Most people had gone through there. The north side had more grass. The passage into the lake through the delta is more obvious than previous times I had been through. Travelling the burn area was very interesting.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip.

Has anyone been from Kiwishiwi Lake to Kowschowng lately? Wondering about water level between the two on the river/creek. Thanks.
