This is the one I got. Crazy Creek Lounger
The double length, when tucked up, gives ya extra padding when sitting And it doubles nicely as an extra sleeping pad.

Thanks for the input guys...

I've changed my plans a bit...I have an Exped pad too so I would only be using my old (very old) Thermarest for this chair. If my Thermarest were to break (which Im expecting it to any time lol) then I'd have to get a whole new Thermarest just for the chair. So I'm going this route:

MEC Senate Chair

With one of these for my butt:
Thermarest Trail Seat

That way it's a bit more versatile and I'm not having to buy a whole Thermarest just for a chair eventually....

I have one of these in the 20 inch size that I use at outdoor concerts. I use it with a long pad and the seat area gets doubled up so actually sits me up off the ground just a bit. Super comfy and you can cinch it in to adjust the angle of the back support. LOVE IT!

I used to use it camping but I switched over to the Exped pad so the chair hasn't been to the BWCA in years.

Looks like a good idea. I bring a Crazy Creek chair and what you have pictured there looks to be the same idea. Also, having that pad along will give you additional insulation from the ground.

I haven't used that, but I have used the chair kit from Exped that's a similar concept. Obviously it doesn't have the rigid support of a real chair, and cooking from that position might be a little awkward, but it's great for lounging and reading for sure.

I have an old Thermarest that I don't use anymore but thought it might make a comfy chair in the hot tent, when coupled with one of these:

Thermarest Trekker Lounge

Has anyone used one of these before? I brought my big camp chair into the hot tent on my first trip with it, and it worked ok but it was huge. The Thermarest idea would also put you down closer to the stove for easier cooking, warming, etc.

Any thoughts?
