Can anybody fill me in on what the campsites are like on Kiskadinna? Wife and I are planning a trip through Kiskadinna in late June.

Thanks,

i buzzed thru there a few years back. to my knowledge, they were not good. small and unused. mostly a pass thru lake, but you could still pitch a tent there if you like.

According to the ratings under the maps section here, the western site is a 4-star site (2 ratings), the eastern site a 1-star (1 rating). All ratings are over 5 years old.

We checked out both sites on Kiskadinna several years back on This trip.

Thought the western site was pretty nice, the eastern site was nothing to write home about.
West site.

The portages from Kiskadinna to Long Island are a real piece of work. Plan on taking your time there.

ah yes....."The Wall". A real heart thumper. The one from Kisk to Davis is a beauty too.

Yes, the "ankle breaker", beaver dam portage from Long Island to Muskeg, and the Muskeg to Kiskadinna "Wall" - a lot of "fun" :). But a very nice area though, not heavily traveled - saw a moose on Muskeg Creek.
