All conservation of wildness is self-defeating, for to cherish we must see and fondle, and when enough have seen and fondled, there is no wilderness left to cherish. Aldo Leopold

I enjoyed your report and pictures. I am in agreement with you on the motorboat travelers in that area. There are so many places in MN that has great fishing for motor boaters and so few places without them that I wish the BWCA would start to encourage a decrease or at least up the enforcement of LNT in those areas. Thanks for sharing about your trip.

SlowTroller: "Thanks Martian! It was nice meeting you on the trip. I hope your trip was good as well! Stay in touch!"
Our trip went great! Got some peaceful solitude for seven days. We actually caught some fish which was nice. The prize was watching a wolf across the Heritage Creek from our campsite on Heritage Lake. Pretty cool Stuff. We did the Loon to Heritage portage in a thunderstorm making some sections a tad treacherous. That was rough but no slips or falls.
It was just nice chilling with my son for a week.
I'll head back in October for a solo mission. Hit me up anytime.
Again, excellent report. I look forward to the YouTube posting.
Cheers!

That's quite a trip. You really do cover a lot of miles don't you?
Wonderful description and photos. Thanks for taking the time so we could enjoy a bit of your adventure.

Time in the woods leaves no time for carving and drawing. Carving and drawing leaves no time for getting lost in the woods. I really need to retire.
